How the numbers work
The ratios behind the answer.
These are the ratios used across the industry and the ones our team plans from. They are a starting point, not a rule. Ground conditions, access, the running order and how far people have to walk all move the number.
Events start at one unit per 100 people
That covers a four-hour event. Past four hours the same people come back, so the number climbs: about a quarter more for six hours, 50% more for eight, and double for a full day.
Alcohol adds about twenty per cent
People drink, people queue. Every event planner in Cyprus learns this the hard way once. Build it in from the start and the queue never forms.
Construction is one unit per ten workers
Serviced weekly. Add a hand-wash station for every two toilets, and an accessible unit once the crew passes twenty.
One accessible unit, always
For any event open to the public, at least one accessible toilet with level entry and grab rails, then one more for every twenty standard units.
Urinal stands cut the queue
Above 250 guests, one four-place urinal stand for every four toilets moves the queue faster than adding four more cabins, and costs less.
Food means more hand washing
If food is served, one hand-wash station for every two toilets instead of every four. Health inspectors will check for it.
